These have many names, I know them as folding hammers, you can make one from an ordinary hammer with a head similar to the one you have, just by cutting off the handle. you may have to re-shape the face to be slightly rounded, but it can be a cheap alternative if you get it second hand.

The only maker of true crepe in the U.S. is Shreiner I will try to get you some contact info tomorow. They may have a European distributor. Frank Jones might know some others across the pond.

Funny you should mention it. In my fuzzy brain, I remember talking with someone the other day, and they mentioned Gum Tragecanth. I believe it was Edwin Hale. Might be worth a call or email to see what he has.
