One more try.. I made these pictures in a professional photo studio. It really did matter I must say. It worth every cent I spent on it (I don't write how much - because of DW

)

Ok, Here it is a text book example of mistakes, my very first attempt at a shoe.

. It is tooling calf, I hammer jacked the heels which are amazingly hard now, almost too hard to rasp! I got all information from this list. Thanks to each of you.

Ok, I know that these are not made right. But she made it to the dance in her long gold sparkling dress with shoes on her feet. I actuall just glued suede to the bottoms in order to get them done on time.

I wanted to show these sandals that I made this summer. They are veg tanned with a chrome tanned lining. The soles are made from soling leather glued and saddle stitched to 8 ounce vegtaned insoles. I cut a small groove for the stitches but it is much to shallow and I had no idea that I needed to cover the groove back up to protect the stitches. I drilled each stich hole with a dentist drill. I didn't know that I should wet the soling and bend it prior to making the shoes, so they dont bend well at all. Live and learn.
My next ones will be better.

Same class of shoes as the earliar ones, with some differance, Snake skin with not that good of calf leather. If anyone knows how to treat the lizard and the snake skin, I can really use some advice on that.
Regards
Nasser.

Here's a little black number I just finished.
7126.jpg
They're black roo with a 2" heel. What's interesting to me was I used pull holes only on the back panel.
7127.jpg
I'd like a pair of these for myself!

Here are a pair of dance shoes. Veg tan Sheridan Roo uppers, veg pig liner, Stevenson-Paxton insole, 1/8 inch sole. They are welted but not stitched down to sole so I could trim very close to the upper.
They are not meant to be worn outside but could be in a pinch.

I have just finished a bespoke order. The reason I post it here: the double spinning-stitch goiser technic. Very soon (in 24 hours I hope) you can take a look at youtube how it's made. I work on it.

Well, I was gonna hold off posting this because I didn't want to draw any attention away from other members, but I guess there's safety in numbers so...
No reason to consider this special...I actually don't like the higher heel on this boot and I'd prefer a full pegged sole given the toe shape but I thought it came out pretty clean overall.
Navy blue French calf, burgundy top binding, 2ΒΌ" military (Cuban) heel.
Sorry, I blew it...
