Hey guys, I am new to this forum and this whole world really(cordwainers). I've happened upon quite a bit of tools by way of my grandfather. There are hand tools and some semi-heavy machinery. I've learned a little about the tools just from the internet but stiil have no desire or need to keep them. I posted on another forum and they said that you guys were THE ones to talk to. I would like to get rid of the whole lot at once but will sell seperately if need be. Take a look at the pictures here----- http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&section=viewi mage&img=7562 -----and email me at stilljerry1@yahoo.com if you have any questions. There are also a couple more machines that were too heavy to move at the time and I think they're called insole stitchers by Auto Soler. Thanks!

Dear Fellow Crispins,

To supply shoemaking classes I am now offering to reenactors and historians, I am having 18th-century (and some 17th-Century) "straight" lasts (men's and women's) made in runs from a last manufacturer. For those that are interested, I may have surplus I can sell from time to time.

These are true to form, and have the right dimensions and proportions for 17th- and 18th-Century shoes, not like modern anatomical lefts and rights. [They are based off of originals that I own.] Nevertheless, they do make a quite comfortable shoe when using bespoke methods and high-quality fabric or leather. They are turned from European hornbeam, are nicely made, and are sanded smooth.

If anyone is interested in this kind of thing, send me an e-mail and I'll put you on a contact list. We can talk further about prices, shipping versus personal delivery at an HCC meeting, &c.

Vivat Crispinius et Crispianus.

Yr. Srvnt.,
Ephraim

I have a Sutton 2000 finisher that is just too big for my shop. I would like to trade it for a smaller - something like a T-2.

If you are interested or know someone who might be, let me know.

This is a big machine, and I don't have a way to deliver it or get it crated and shipped, so it will have to be picked up with a flat bed trailer.

I am located in NE Washington State.

Thanks,

John

I have some shoe machinery that I am willing to sell, and I have a feeling that some folks in here could make good use of it.

If you'd like to see images, or want more information on any of this equipment, send me an email.
I'm located in southern Ontario.

The list:

Sutton-Landis Shoe finisher: Model T-2A
Landis outsole stitcher: Model 12-G
Landis sole stitcher: Model 36-A McKay lockstitcher
Pedersen heavy-duty outsole stitcher: Model Rapid E
Landis 5-in-1 bench cutter (short arm)
Landis model 30 sole splitter bench machine
Dyoflex air-brush / compressor system with hoses and glass
Two eyelet / grommet setting bench machines.

Thanks!

Danny,

I would be interested in seeing this equipment. Is this a complete list? Do you have a heel wheel?

Hello everyone,

Thanks to all who have contacted me regarding this equipment that I have for sale.
I have to apologize for the slow response time to your enquiries, but please know that I will respond to each email that I receive. I'm just burning the candle at both ends these days!

I'm going to answer some of the most commonly asked questions in this post, and then I will respond to each of you privately with detailed answers when I have the time to get it all done.
Right now I do not have a lot of time to dedicate to this process, and for that I do apologize.

I'm selling this equipment because it is all surplus. My wife and I run a shoe repair shop, and we are very busy at this time of year. I am working 12 - 14 hours per day right now. Also, we are selling our house, and moving in March 2012. This is another reason that I'm selling the finisher, Rapid E, and the bench machines.

I decided to sell the Landis model G and the McKay because they are just underused in my shop these days. With the advancements made in adhesive technology in recent years, those machines just aren't required as often in the repair industry. They are perfect for manufacturing though, because these machines were built to last.

The pictures that I sent to some of you were just hastily snapped as soon as I pulled them out of storage. They are not taken from the best angles, but I'm in the process of packing for moving so I will try to take better shots soon.

With exception of one eyelet machine, and the two heavy Landis stitchers, these machines have all been stored at my home in Elora for over 14 years. I have not run these machines during that time. They are all in good working order, as they were in use by my father in his "retirement hobby shop" that he built on the back of his house. When he passed away, I took them and stored them here. The mechanisms were lubricated with care prior to putting them away.
They will need to be cleaned and set-up, but as far as I know they will need very little to bring into service.

Some have asked about shipping costs, and that I cannot answer. I believe that anyone that is interested should come and see them in person. I will gladly cooperate with anyone who wants to have the machines shipped. I could possibly package and ship the bench machines, but I cannot set-up the big machines for shipping. Transport of any machine will be the purchaser's responsibility.

I hope to get out into the garage this weekend and take some better shots of the 5-in-1, and the splitter.

Thanks to all, and have a great Sunday.

Danny Schreiner
