New Ebay auctions

Looking for a particular tool? Got tools or goods you want to exchange? Maybe you want to set up a consortium for an order to Barnsley or Bakers...there's a booth at the Faire. One caveat applies...pricing and price negotiations must take place in private email.

I found this auction today- pretty unlikely to find this again (I think). It's a kerosene tool heater:

Just got this heads up (thanks to Mr. Vincent LoCascio) on a Singer 31-15 on Ebay. Auction ends 09 Jan 2007. Current bid is $16.00...no table head only.

This might be a good pick-up for someone wanting to set up a dedicated gimping platform. Or, if it runs and sews good...it would make a good all-around machine for flat piece assembly.

On ebay present bid $50.00

Pfaff Post Bed Industrial Sewing Machine. Model 491-755/13 900/53-BL.

Machine does not work. There is a table stand, a three-phase motor, and a bag of random accessories: foot pedal, rods, dials, etc....

I brought this old machine to a mechanic who said the flat bottom plate had cracked years ago and had been welded, but the time and energy involved for anyone to make this machine run was not worth his while.

His educated guess from looking at the controls on the motor was that this machine came from a factory where it was used for detail work on shoes.

Pick-up only unless you arrange for shipping. Machine head is in one box, motor + accessories in another, table/stand separate.

Sold as is, no returns.

For anyone looking for a Pfaff 471 post bed (that's what I have), there is a machine on Ebay for sale.

It is located in New York but the seller may ship.

The auction ends in two days, there are no bids on it so far, and the starting price is very reasonable--provided the machine is in good working order. Contacting the seller both to ascertain the working order and to arrange shipping (if required) is recommended.

A Paypal account is required.

The Ebay auction number is 150217045647

(thanks to Vinny for the "heads-up" )

Interesting pliers, listed as an antique cobbler's tool, never seen one of these before. Does anyone know anything about their origin and use?

There was a discussion a little while back about fundamental tools one should have:

Here's a range of edge irons for sale on ebay:
110345138520

And a Landis 30 splitter, something that I'd add to the list, but this one's been oddly modified for some high production levels!

Thanks Marcell. It is a nice set. Thanks for leeting us know. Good thing one doesn't have to be able to speak or read german in order to know what a wonderful collection this is.

I am looking for a kripendorf finder and a last toe mesure if anyone knows where I can score one of these I would appreciate the input. I am also looking for another last stick.
thanks

Marlietta, These are shoemaking tools.

I believe you shouldn't post business related links here. Not sure.

There is no problem posting Ebay auctions on the forum.

The rules, and the reasons for them, are quite clear for those who would make a serious attempt to understand them...

A short, pithy synopsis:

A member cannot post solicitations that are directly in service of his or her business.

A member cannot post prices that affect himself or are in any way...directly or indirectly...connected to profit for him or herself.

Blatant self-promotion is considered in poor tastes.

As a 501, C-3 tax-exempt entity we cannot be seen as indulging in any activity that results in personal or corporate profit. Forget what you know, or think you know, about the tax laws of other countries...the HCC is incorporated in the State of Virginia in the United States of America. US tax laws apply...none other.

When in doubt contact either admin@thehcc.org or refrain from posting.

I have an individual who contacte me to see if I made this pair of boots, I did not. He bought them on Ebay but the seller doesn't know the maker either. Do any of you recognize this pair? We're looking for the maker. Thanks, JB.
