I'm not very good with a camera...my biggest weakness is dragging it out of its case. Nevertheless I got some photos that I think add a little to the collection:

I particularly wanted to get photos of speakers and I suspect I might have missed a big opportunity on Sunday. If I missed anyone on Saturday forgive me, like I said I don't have the photographers impulse.

Here's Al Saguto giving the Treasurer's report in lieu of Lady Miriam (who we all missed dreadfully)

Dee-Dubb,

Thanks for sharing! Glad to see you back home safe and sound. Hope EVERYONE is home now. That storm caused some problems for a few.

By the way, Big Al has pertty knees, huh?

Any word when the videos/DVD's or pictures taken by the on-site professional photographer from last year's AGM will be available for purchase/viewing?

Just a brief note to say - looking forward to meeting people again at the Annual HCC Get-Together four weeks from now. It is technically the AGM (which we do hold) but the interesting stuff is everything else.

If you have never come before, you are really missing something special - meeting all those fascinating and very skilled people who are as crazy about hand boot and shoemaking as you are.

On top of all that, we are on the East Coast. You may think it is a long way to travel but some of us have over 3000 extra miles to be able to attend. See what I mean about being crazy??

Hey Frank,

If you float an iron needle on a leaf in a little bowl of water it will point north...and you'll get a better sense of direction than if you rely the mass-produced commercial compass that's got you figuring Redmond, Oregon is somewhere near Penobscot Bay. Image

West Coast, old friend, west coast, you'll have a long way to hitchhike if your plane lands short.

Well you certainly caught me out there. I must have been half sleep when I typed that posting.

It took me a little while to find Penobscot Bay in Maine. Transatlantic flights from Manchester to New York (No, not Manchester NH, THE Manchester) often fly in over Nova Scotia or along the coast of Maine.

Looking forward to seeing you on 21st October.
